James Don Adams, Jr., 64, of Sheboygan, passed away at home on Thursday afternoon, February 6, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born February 28, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN, James was a son of the late James Sr. and Alyce Lewis Adams. He attended Minneapolis area schools. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army for 12 years. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served in Desert Storm. On June 8, 2013, he was united in marriage to Tami Lynn Olmsted in Sheboygan James worked as a fork lift operator at Nemak for many years. He previously worked at Watry Industries and the Kohler Company. He enjoyed fishing, playing games and flying his drone. He was an avid football fan, especially cheering for the Minnesota Vikings. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his two dogs, Buster and Shorty Shorty Bang Bang. He is survived by his wife, Tami; his children, Charise (Keith) Campbell, St. Louis, MO, Sara (Ahmad) LaChapelle, Minneapolis, MN, Alycia Helene, Kennesaw, GA; James Don (Meghan) Adams, III, Atlanta, GA, Amber (Nick) McDowell, Austin, TX, Andre (Brittany) Wagner, Sheboygan, and Tori (Walker) Schultz, AZ; eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild; his brothers, Richard (Tracy) Adams, LA, Mark Adams, Minneapolis, MN, and Keith Adams, Sheboygan; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Judene and Steve Schultz; his brother-in-law, Troy Olmsted, Sheboygan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is further survived by special family friends, Shelly, Peter and Susie. A Celebration of Life gathering for James will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. Honoring his service in the U.S. Army, Military Funeral Honors will follow immediately at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and Aurora at Home Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
