William Robert Hartmann

William Robert Hartmann, 95, of Oxnard, California, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024.
When William Robert Hartmann was born on June 17, 1929, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, his father, Peter, was 26 and his mother, Malinda, was 19. In 1949, Bill enlisted and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines as a radio operator. In 1951, he received the Purple Heart and in 1952, he retired from the U.S. Marines. He married Beverly June Doucett on August 12, 1961, in his hometown. Upon marrying Bev, Bill adopted her 3 children from her marriage to Lloyd E Scherer. They had one child of their own during their marriage.
A private family service is being held.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bill's name.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Bill's arrangements.
