William "Bill" Frank Duchow

William "Bill" Frank Duchow went home to his Lord and Savior after a brief battle with cancer, on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Bill was born on March 14, 1948, to Frank William and Marcella (Schmitz) Duchow.  He graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond Du Lac in 1966.  He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for 2 years and then entered the US Army for 3 years, serving 1 year in Vietnam and 15 months in Germany before being discharged in May 1971.

Bill worked at Kohler Company for 19 years, Vollrath for 1 year, and Tecumseh for 12 years, then retired from Niebler Properties in maintenance after 5 years.

On June 10, 1972, Bill was united in marriage to Jane Thompson.  They lived their married years in Sheboygan.  Bill enjoyed reading the Word of God daily. More so as in his later years, Bill became humble to the fact that Jesus died for him and looked forward to spending eternity with Him.  Bill also enjoyed woodworking, and made much of the furniture in their home, along with many gifts throughout the years.  He also liked bike riding and his many canine companions throughout the years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane, daughter Patience "Patty" (Tom) Schmidt, grandchildren; Katherine, Steven and Jacob Luther, step-grandchildren; Layla, August, Evan and Valorie Schmidt, brothers-in-law; Dick (Carol) Thompson, Ron (Marlene) Thompson, Dennis (Debbie) Thompson and Ken Freund and sister-in-law Jean Thompson.  Bill is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Catherine Westerveld and Patricia (Gary) Moody, and brother-in-law Marv Thompson and sister-in-law Susie Freund.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Immanuel Bible Church, 2428 Superior Ave., Sheboygan, with Pastor Aaron Smith officiating.  A private internment will take place at Wildwood Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the CHURCH. If you are unable to join the family for Bill's service, it will be live streamed on the church’s website www.ibcsheboygan.org.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Stars & Stripes Honor Flight in Bill's name.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their tender loving care of Bill while he was able to fulfill his last wishes in his own home of 46 years.  He had many visitors and did much reminiscing with Jane about days gone by, and watching all their favorite Christmas movies.
