He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. On June 4, 1955, Wally and Deloris B. He previously worked at the Kohler Co as a tool and die heat treater before he was drafted into the Marine Corps. He also worked at the Kingsbury Brewery until they closed and at Horn's Trailer Sales. He was a lifelong member of First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 83. During high school and beyond, Wally enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and was one of the founding members of the Sheboygan County Motorcycle Club. He also served as their first president. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling the country with Deloris with their travel trailer. Wally and Deloris also spent many winters in Casa Grande, AZ. They also volunteered together at Bethesda thrift shop and enjoyed country line dancing.

He is survived by his three sons, Randall (Mary) Meyer, Medina, OH, Gary Meyer, Plymouth, and David (Amy Lydolph) Meyer, Sheboygan; two grandsons, Zachary Meyer, Sheboygan, and Samuel Meyer, Medina, OH. Besides his parents and wife Deloris, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marion (Walter) Gleich.

Private family services were held at First United Lutheran Church. Entombment took place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Pine Haven Christian Home and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, especially, Kathy Schultz, for all of their loving care and support.
