Thomas M. Lewis, 51, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, January 15, 2017 at his home from an apparent heart attack. Born July 15, 1965 in Sheboygan, Tom was the son of Karen Westera Lewis and the late James Lewis. He attended area schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1983. In his early years, Tom got into the radio business by helping start the radio station at Sheboygan Falls High School. He then continued working at many radio stations around the country as an on air radio personality. Currently, Tom worked as a sales associate at Sheboygan Chevrolet in Sheboygan. He previously worked for the Van Horn Automotive Group in many capacities over the years. He also owned his own D.J. service working special occasions and weddings. He is survived by his mother, Karen Lewis, Sheboygan; his two sisters, Cari (Aaron) Anger, Sheboygan, and Kim (special friend Jeff Fleischfresser) Lewis, Sheboygan Falls; his two nephews, Jason and Ryan Anger, Sheboygan; his paternal grandmother, Violet Lewis, Sheboygan; his maternal grandmother, Irene Westera, Sheboygan; an uncle, Bill (Judy) Westera, Sheboygan Falls; his cousins, Pamela Westera, Milwaukee, Garrett (Doreen) Westera, Sheboygan, and Sean Lewis, Chicago; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lewis; his paternal grandfather, Earl Lewis, his maternal grandfather, John Westera, and his uncle, David Lewis. A Celebration of Tom's Life will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2016, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. Tom will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his warm smile and his loving and gentle nature. He was the first one to welcome you to his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.
