Ted Charles Golembeski

Ted Charles Golembeski, 81 passed away at Sheboygan Senior Community on October 24, 2024.
He was born on December 30th, 1942, in Wakefield, MI to Ted and Lucy (Sworab) Golembeski. After surviving a rough start to his formal education – allegedly getting kicked out of kindergarten for smoking cigarettes – he went on to excel in football, tennis, and downhill skiing. Ted graduated from Wakefield High School in 1960.
Upon graduation, Ted enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and on December 27, 1960, left for San Diego. He was proud to serve his country and was discharged in 1964. In 1965, he met Marlene Sabec in Milwaukee, and they were married on June 25th, 1966. Together they raised three children.
Ted moved his family north to Sheboygan Falls when he began working at Kohler Company. Later he started a successful produce business on the corner of PP and EE.  Ted enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, cribbage, chess, fishing and hunting, and going to the casino. He was an avid Michigan sports fan.
Ted is survived by his three children: Chris (Kelli) Golembeski, Michele (Kevin) Hemb, and Todd Golembeski, his grandchildren Megan and Aric, great-grandchildren Marlee and Henry, his sister Jean Hansen, brother Mike Golembeski, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Gloria, brother-in-law Dick Hansen, and niece Sarah Spychalla.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, November 23rd from 1-4 p.m. at VFW Sheboygan Memorial Post, 552 S. Evans St. Sheboygan, WI.
We would like to thank the staff at Gables on the Pond and Sheboygan Senior Community for all their kindness and compassion towards our dad. Thank you to those who took him fishing at the pond. It meant so much to him!
