Susan Dekanich, 61, of Sheboygan, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, surround by her loving family at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Born October 6, 1952 in Sheboygan, Susan was a daughter of Mary Kuhn Roszak and the late Kenneth Roszak. On August 18, 1973, Susan and Peter Dekanich were united in marriage at St. Dominic Catholic Church. The couple was married for 40 years before Peter preceded her in death on January 19, 2014. Susan was employed for many years as a Supervisor for the United States Postal Service in the Sheboygan Falls office. She was a devoted caregiver to Peter, enjoyed reading and playing golf. Susan is survived by two daughters, Heather (Deepak) Garcha and their child, Kieran Garcha, all of Madison and Twila Dekanich of Milwaukee; her mother, Mary Roszak, two brothers, John (Laura) Roszak, Sheboygan Falls, Joe (Amy) Roszak, Poulsbo, WA; one sister, Jodi (Tod) Hametner; five sisters in law; seven brothers-in-law; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave. Fr. Dan Lasecki will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Garden Mausoleum at a later date. Susan's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Dr. Mary Arenberg, Dr. Andrew Yetter and Dr. Peter Johnson for the care and compassion shown to her.
