Steven R. Gartman, 56, of Whitefish Bay, WI, passed away January 7, 2014, at his home. Steve was born March 28, 1957, in Sheboygan, WI, to Roger H. Gartman and Barbara Grunewald Winkelhorst. He graduated from Sheboygan South High in 1975 and then attended University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Steve was the president of The Albion Group, an architectural firm in Milwaukee. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Winkelhorst, Sheboygan; sister Cynthia (Mike Kaems) Gartman, Sheboygan; a brother Marc Gartman, Sheboygan; two half brothers, James and John De Pagter; two nieces, Kristin and Lauren Gartman; two nephews, Joshua & Jered Gartman; a special friend, Nancy Hayer; other relatives and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his father Roger; his grandparents and a nephew. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Marcus Powers will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
