Shirley A. Vanderplasse

Shirley A. Vanderplasse, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away January 23, 2024 at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Born September 7, 1937 in Sheboygan, Shirley was a daughter of the late Eugene and Luetta Johnson Gross. In 1961, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Vanderplasse. They were married for 51 years before LeRoy preceded her in death on August 28, 2012.
Shirley worked at Hardee's in Sheboygan for 17 years before her retirement. She previously worked at Lakeland Manufacturing.
She is survived by her son, Leslie Vanderplasse, Oconomowoc, WI; two granddaughters Tina Vanderplasse, Oconomowoc, WI, and Nicole Schaub, Fond du Lac, WI; three great grandchildren; her sister, Jean Voigt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, LeRoy, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Peters; her brother, Eugene "Butch" (Bonnie) Gross; and her daughter-in-law, Janet Vanderplasse.
A memorial gathering will take place from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Chapel of Eternal Light, 6706 Superior Avenue, Kohler, WI.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Shirley's arrangements.
