Two Journeys
If the end of life could be as sweet as the beginning, if going out as blessed as coming in.
If friends and family gathered all around us, to offer them their gifts of love and hope.
Then the passage through won't loom so darkly, for the solitary traveler on life's way.
For both the voyages are only the beginning, and birth and death both share a veil of mystery.
If only hands could reach to bid farewell, as easily as they do to welcome life.
Then the ends of life could be as sweet as the beginning, and going out as blessed as coming in. - Terry Renzelman
