Shirley F. Fleck Glazer, 92, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Sheboygan Health Services.
Born in Sheboygan on December 31, 1929, she was one of six children born to Chester and Alma Selma Zenk Heinemann. She attended Pigeon River Grade School and Central High School graduating in 1947. On May 24, 1952 she married Ervin Fleck and traveled with her husband and his family with the Mar-Vels Teeterboard Act touring the entire country performing at fairs, theaters and nightclubs in Las Vegas and Reno, NV and appeared in several movies. Ervin passed away on May 3, 1988.
She worked in several offices and department stores, namely Leverenz Shoe Co., Levitan Fruit Co., Kohl's Department Store and Sheboygan Aurora Clinic. She belonged to Sheboygan Turners for many years and was active in many church groups being a lifelong member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She also played over 25 years with the St. Paul's women's and couples dartball teams, Couples Club, funeral committee and Altar Guild. After high school she joined Sheboygan Municipal Band and played clarinet with the band for over five years.
On October 4, 2002 she married August "Tony" Glazer.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Tony; two daughters, Karen Fleck and Dawn (Pat) Kondreck; a sister, Sharon Webb; a sister-in-law, Joyce Heinemann; a brother-in-law, Eugene Neumann; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She is further survived by her step sons and four step grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Ervin, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Fleck; her brothers Franklyn "Maynard" (Ruth) Heinemann, Glenn (Nancy) Heinemann and Dale Heinemann; and her sister, Janith Neumann.
Funeral services for Shirley will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
