Shirley A. Patchak, 67, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday morning, August 29, 2015 at Meadowview Manor. Born January 28, 1948 in Sheboygan, Shirley was a daughter of the late LaVerne and Alice Ver Velde Pierce. She attended area schools and North High School. On June 11, 1966, she was united in marriage to James F. Patchak at St. John's United Church of Christ. They were married for 38 years before James preceded her in death on June 4, 2005. Shirley was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, listening to music, Elvis Presley and collecting owls and teddy bears. She is survived by her children, Sandy (Tom) Myers, Sheboygan, Jack Patchak, Fox Lake, WI, and Jill (William DeSmith) Patchak, Sheboygan; her grandson, Aaron Myers, Sheboygan; brothers, Donald (Doris) Pierce, Lester Pierce, and Marvin Pierce, all of Sheboygan; and her sister, Margaret (Eddie) Meise, Sheboygan; and her sister-in-law, Jeanette Patchak, CO. Besides her parents and husband, James, she was preceded in death by her brother Wesley Pierce, and her special friend, Bob Denson. Funeral services for Shirley will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Chapel of Eternal Light. Pastor Mangeri will officiate. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are welcome at the chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Meadowview Manor and St. Nicholas Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
