Sheralyn "Sherry" J. Deckert

Sheralyn J. "Sherry" Deckert, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday evening, October 7, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born July 23, 1938, in Sheboygan, Sherry was a daughter of the late Norman and Marie Wolf Neese. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1957. On August 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Clifford D. Deckert at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Sherry was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She loved to cook and bake and pass the time with puzzles and reading. She was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan who liked to keep active by bowling on various leagues and dancing.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clifford; her daughter, Tammy (David) Grunwald, Cleveland; her grandchildren, Faith Grunwald and Bradley Grunwald, both of Cleveland; her sisters, Carol Badtke and Dawn Kober; her sister-in-law, Sharon Neese; a brother-in-law, Rod Deckert; nieces and nephews, Tracey Badtke, Todd (Kathy) Badtke, Jody Kober, Kevin Kober, Jennifer Reineking, Justin (Emily) Neese, Greg Deckert, Lisa (Todd) Gmach, and Kari (Mike) Mooney; other relatives and many friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marie Deckert; her brother, Keith Neese; her sister-in-law, Betty Deckert; brothers-in-law, Urial Badtke, Robert Kober and Dennis (Judy) Deckert; and a nephew, Kim Badtke.
A memorial service for Sherry will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Aurora Medical Center and Aurora Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
