Shane Michael Luethe, loving husband and father, of Berlin, WI, passed away at home on December 9, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. Shane was born March 1, 1969 in Wichita Falls, TX. While Shane will be dearly missed by those left behind, he’s off on a new journey to join those loved ones that preceded him.
Shane was a loyal husband to his dear wife and high school sweetheart Shannon. While life initially took them in different directions, they eventually found their way back to each other and rekindled a love affair that began so many years ago. They were united in marriage on October 2, 2020.
A true and loyal friend to so many, Shane was a source of support, strength, wise counsel and also had a great sense of humor. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Shane was a true son of Wisconsin; loving all the beauty and bounty the land had to offer. He also enjoyed travel, camping, cooking and was one heck-of-a good poker player (Shane could be dealt an off suit 2-7 and still walk away with the pot!).
Initially employed at Oshkosh Truck, Shane eventually moved on to become a near 30-year employee of Kimberly-Clark. He was most recently employed at Fox Valley Technical College as an Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship Instructor. He was so proud to have had the opportunity to instruct a program he was so passionate about. Shane made many lifelong friends from the colleagues he met along the way.
Shane always looked out for others, helping wherever and whenever he could. Never to complain, Shane was a humble and principled man, and always looked to find the positives in every situation. Shane was truly the kind of man that would do anything to help a friend, or a stranger for that matter, that was in need. Shane treasured his time as a father and always made time for his children.
Shane is survived by his wife, Shannon Jezwinski, his children Katelyn (Caryn) Luethe, Michael Luethe, Laramie (Lucus) Severson, Allie Hren, Gavin Harmon, Kinsey Harmon, Malerie Harmon, Aunt Joan (Luethe) Ehrenberg, Aunt Betty (Luethe) Lueck, and many loyal friends and family.
Shane was preceded in death by his Mother, Louise Valeria (Schmidt) Luethe and Father, Russell Noel Luethe, Uncle Roy Ehrenberg, Aunt Barb Luethe, Uncle Jon Lueck, Grandfather Noel Luethe, Grandmother Agnes (Spanski) Luethe, cousin Bill Gohlke, cousin Nancy (Strebelinski) Gohlke, Grandmother Valeria “Honey” (Strebelinski) Schmidt and Grandfather Gilbert Schmidt.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 18, at the VFW hall in Berlin WI starting at noon, prayer service at 1 p.m., followed by a luncheon. All are welcome.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Shane's arrangements.
