Russell "Rusty" Franzen

Russell F. “Rusty” Franzen age 70 of Sheboygan passed away Sunday night June 9, 2019 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by his family.

Born May 2, 1949 in Sheboygan to Sylvester and Retha Wade Franzen, Russell attended and graduated from local schools. He went on to work many years for the Kohler Company as a C & C Operator as wells as working as a bartender for various establishments throughout the years. He enjoyed motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidson, travelling and telling jokes.

Rusty is survived by his wife Michelle Franzen; former wife Corky Franzen; his children, Russell Franzen, Jr., Valerie (Craig) Franzen, Samantha (Ricky) Meunier, Melody (Wayne) Nichols, Willie (Taylor) Steinhaus, Kevin Franzen; 10 grandchildren; a great granddaughter, Olivia; 2 brothers, Steve (Vicki) Franzen and Mike (Gail) Franzen. As well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Dennis Franzen; 3 sisters, Juanita DeLorenzo, Sherry Diehlmann & Helen Franzen; a brother in law, Angelo DeLorenzo; 2 sister in law, Barb Franzen, Jackie Bouk Franzen and his nephew Jason.

A memorial service for Rusty will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave., Sheboygan. Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Russell’s family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Schmitt, the 3 ^rd floor nurses and staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and the nurses and staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their loving care and support.
