Ruben G. Torres, Sr.
August 21, 1942 — January 1, 2019
Born August 21, 1942 in Mathis, TX, Ruben was a son of the late Adolfo and Angelita Gonzales Torres. He attended schools in Mathis, TX. On May 5, 1960, he was united in marriage to Sulema Villarreal in Nampa, ID.
Ruben worked for Willman Industries for many years in Cedar Grove, WI, until his retirement. He was a member of City Church in Sheboygan. He enjoyed spending time at Menard's and the Resale Store where he would talk with his friends. He also enjoyed wood working.
He is survived by his wife, Sulema; his children, Linda Torres, Angelita (Mark) Rothering, Mary (Thomas) Mullens, Yolanda Torres and Ruben (Sarah) Torres, Jr., all of Sheboygan; twelve grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Angelita, two brothers, Gilbert and Reynaldo Torres, and his sister, Maria Torres.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Chuck Apple will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Schmitt and staff and the Aurora Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
