Robert A. Schicker, Jr., 92, of Fond du Lac Avenue, Sheboygan Falls, passed away Sunday morning, March 23, 2014 at Sheboygan Progressive Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family. Born November 8, 1921 in Chilton, WI, Robert was a son of the late Robert and Mildred Hazen Schicker, Sr. He attended Chilton area schools. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force. On April 30, 1946, he was united in marriage to Lorena Agnes Dohr at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hilbert, WI. They were married for 62 years before Lorena preceded him in death on July 21, 2008. Bob was self employed as a residential siding applicator for many years in Sheboygan County and the surrounding area. He previously built homes for both Great Lakes Homes and Lee Realty. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. He enjoyed going to McDonalds, visiting with friends and doing scratch off lottery tickets. Besides spending time with his family, one of his greatest joys was sitting out in the garage watching people pass by. He is survived by his two children, Robert Schicker, III, Sheboygan Falls, and Linda Schicker, Sheboygan; his granddaughter, Angela Schicker-Jekenewicz, Sheboygan; and his great grandson, Max Strojinc, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife Lorena, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas, his granddaughter Dawn Marie Schicker, his four brothers and his two sisters. According to Bob's wishes, there will be no services or visitation at this time. Private family inurnment will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Tender Hearts Senior Care in Sheboygan and the nurses and staff of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee and for all of their loving care and support shown to Bob over the years.
