Robert Michael Steinhardt, 66, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday morning, June 1, 2015 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with his family by his side. Born September 29, 1948 in Plymouth, WI, Robert was a son of the late William and Madeline Ringel Steinhardt. He attended Plymouth area grade schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1966. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. On January 22, 1972, he was united in marriage to Patricia Kay Schrader at St. John's United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. Bob worked at the Kohler Company for 37 years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of St. John's UCC where he had been an usher. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and was an avid golfer. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 43 1/2 years, Patricia; his children, Thomas Matthew Steinhardt, Keri Ann (Craig) Reineking, and Justin Michael (Stacy) Steinhardt, all of Sheboygan; his five grandchildren, Payton Emily Steinhardt, Brooklyn Olivia Steinhardt, Emma Marie Reineking, Jacob Hunter Reineking and Kaden Michael Steinhardt; his sister, Rosie Rosenthal, Sheboygan Falls; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Rollie) Schoenenberger and Cindy (Larry) Last, both of Sheboygan; his nieces and nephews, Kelly (Michael) Paulin, Sheboygan, Kris (Travis) Gross, Sheboygan, Katie (Todd) Aschenbach, Marne, MI, Jason (Jennifer) Last, West Bend, Courtney (Greg) Hartmann, Plymouth, Barbara Adams, Minden, LA, Donna (Gerald) Stenz, David Rosenthal and Cathy (Glenn) Valenstein, all of Sheboygan Falls; other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Mason Andrew Steinhardt, his brother, Leroy Steinhardt, his sister, Marion Adams, and his mother and father-in-law, Ethel and Tom Schrader. A memorial service for Robert will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in the Garden Terrace Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Robert's arrangements.
