Richard G. Pierce, 64, of 2302 N. 13th St., passed away on Thursday October 18, 2012 at his home. Born May 4, 1948, in La Crosse, WI, Richard was a son of the late George and Florence Loughan Pierce. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1967. On June 20, 1987, he was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Wolf in Sheboygan. They were married for 22 years before Peggy preceded him in death on May 27, 2010. Dick worked for Lakeshore Pallets for many years before his retirement. He was a volunteer crossing guard at Washington Elementary School for many years and was involved in his neighborhood watch program. He is survived by his sisters and brother, Mary (David) Fieber, Plymouth, Joel (Rita) Pierce, Cyprus, CA, and Rita (Scott) Sadro, Sheboygan Falls; nieces and nephews, Michele Meitz, Jennifer (Jim) Roeber, Tim (Crystal) Fieber, Dan Sadro, Nikki (Matt) Stenson, Brandon Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Patrick Pierce and Christopher Pierce; great nieces and great nephews, Josh, Aleah, Ben, Avery, Eleanor, Adynn and Micah; other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Peggy, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Pierce, and a nephew, Michael. A Memorial Service for Dick will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Avenue. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
