Richard Moehring

Richard H. Moehring, 76, a resident of Morningside Healthcare Center, formerly of W 4586 Hwy. C., Plymouth, passed away Tuesday morning, October 16, 2012, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Born February 11, 1936, in Sheboygan, Richard was a son of the late Walter and Edna Gerber Moehring. He attended area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1953. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army in 1957. On June 22, 1968, he was united in marriage to Aldine L. Gaulke in Sheboygan. Dick worked for Georgia Pacific for many years until his retirement in 1995. He previously worked for Ametek, Inc. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He loved gardening, especially roses and was a member of the American Rose Society. He was an avid stock car racing fan and was on the "pit crew" for his son-in-law's racing team. He is survived by his four children, Laura (Denis Maloney) Murphy, Sheboygan Falls, Leann Sutton, Gilroy, CA, Lana (Jeffery) Theobald, Sheboygan, Lynnette (James) Richter, Sheboygan; 14 grandchildren, Michael (Cindy) Murphy, Daniel (Kristin) Murphy, Michelle Murphy, Shane (Debby) Murphy, Richard (Monica) Kelley, Christine Barel, Stephanie Sutton, Kimberly (Jay) Riemer, Troy (Tabetha) Theobald, Jamie (Courtney) Theobald, Kevin (Nicole) Richter, Jason Richter and Todd (Robin) Richter; 30 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. He is further survived by his sister, Janet (Mike) Schramm, Sheboygan; two nephews, Scott (Mara) Schramm and Geoffrey (Lisa) Schramm; and his grand daughter-in-law, Chrissy Sutton. Besides his parents and his wife, Aldine, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Sutton, Sr., a grandson, Robert Sutton, Jr., a great grand daughter, Amber, and a great grandson, Tryrn. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with full Military Honors will take place in Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
