Richard Karst

Richard Owen Karst, 84, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Sunny Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where he had been residing..
Born April 3, 1937 in Sheboygan, Richard was a son of Earl and Mildred Rammer Karst. He attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School. He went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force for four years before he was discharged in 1959. On February 23, 1962, Richard was united in marriage to Kathleen Ann Dreps. The two were married for 32 years before Kathleen preceded him in death on January 19,1995.
Richard worked for Wisconsin Public Service for 36 years before he retired in December 1998. He loved camping, boating and fishing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children; Steven (Donna) Karst, DePere, WI, Douglas (Brittany) Karst, Sheboygan, and Kristine (Thomas) Steuerwald, Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Nicole Karst, Rebecca (Raymond) Van Den Heuvel, Adam Karst, Joshua Karst, Dillon Karst, Michael Larson and Stephanie (fiance' Dan Doro) Larson; his great grandchildren, Raymond Van Den Heuvel, Rylee Kathleen Ann Van Den Heuvel, Benjamin Larson and Analia Larson; his brother, Dr. Ralph (Pat) Karst; and his brother-in-law, Michael Dreps.
Besides his parents and wife, Kathleen, Richard was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Tina Karst, and his brother, Jack (Grace) Reynolds.
Family and friends are welcome to greet the family on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Entombment will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sunny Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and compassion.
