Richard J. Anderson

Richard J. Anderson, 82, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan.
Born October 17, 1941, in Sheboygan, Richard was the son of the late Melvin and Irene Rhines Anderson. He attended Sheboygan Falls High School. On February 6, 1965, he was united in marriage to Carol Baumgart. On January 2, 1990, he married Janet Genzler Williams.
Richard worked as a fork lift operator for the Kohler Co. for 35 years before his retirement in 2007. He previously worked for Vinyl Plastics. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Kohler. He enjoyed fishing and hunting but most of all he and Janet enjoyed traveling together.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janet; his children, Keith (Peggy) Anderson, Kevin (Tracey) Anderson, Kenneth (Melissa) Anderson and Kristine (Scott) Trempe; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his sister, Carol (Jim) Brandt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is further survived by his step children, Daniel (Sonya) Williams, Kenneth Williams, Benny (Kathy Stevens) Williams, Quits Williams, and Kim Williams; six step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Georgine Ford.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen Anderson; a step son, Lenny Williams; two brothers-in-law, Gerald and Jim Genzler; and a brother-in-law, Maurice Ford.
Funeral services for Richard will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
