Rebecca Burhop

Rebecca M. Burhop, age 62 of Sheboygan left her physical body on Saturday May 6, 2017 at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls surrounded by her family.

She was born March 26, 1955 in Sacramento, California to Siroos and Lillian (Sidener) Mahvi. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She helped many as a registered nurse.

Rebecca grew up in Iran, where she attended English speaking schools, she also attended a Catholc boarding school in Rome. She enjoyed the good things in life, she absolutely adored her grandchildren who knew her as "Grammy". Rebecca was the eldest of 5 children, she loved her siblings very much. She was the life of the party and had many friends. She especially loved listening to music and drinking coffee while looking at Lake Michigan from her apartment with her best friend Don. Her sweet crooked smile and golden heart will be missed by all who knew her.

Rebecca is survived by her children whom she loved dearly, Steffenie (Cooper) O'Connell of Shebogan, and Max (Kelly) Burhop of Sacramento, CA, two grandchildren; Harlow and Henry O'Connell of Sheboygan' her parents Siroos and Lillian Mahvi of Green Valley, AZ; 2 sisters, Mina Mahvi of Phoenix, AZ and Maryam (Dennis) Donovan, of San Francisco, CA; 2 brothers, Iraj Ray Mahvi of Concord, CA and Reza Christopher Mahvi of Folsom, CA and her ex-husband Donald J. Burhop of Sheboygan.

A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held Monday, May 29, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the Deland Home Park Shelter, 1107 N. 4th Street., Sheboygan. Please bring a dish to pass. The family will be filling a memory capsule for the grandkids, please bring a note, picture or object that reminds you of Rebecca.
