Randy W. Johnson

Randy W. Johnson, 64, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday morning, May 2, 2021 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by his family following a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 10, 1956 in Sheboygan, Randy was a son of the late Spencer and Caroline Fink Johnson. He attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1975. On September 17, 1977, he was united in marriage to Darla K. Rudie at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
Randy worked for the Kohler Company for over 42 years before his retirement in 2018. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Brewers, Badgers and the Packers. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his grandchildren who loved their Papa.
He is survived by his wife, Darla, Sheboygan; his children, Jason (Heather) Johnson, Lindenhurst, IL and Jennifer (Eric Schroedel) Johnson, Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Ryan and Madison Johnson and Emily and Penelope Schroedel; his mother, Caroline Johnson, Sheboygan; his sisters and brothers, Kay (Bruce) Rudie, Larry (Kris) Johnson, Jerry Lee (Dawn) Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Scott Johnson, Barry (Leila) Johnson, Bobby (Dee) Johnson, Kelly (Brian) Gross, Kristine (Ed) Lauer, Kevin Johnson, and Marcie Schultek; his in-laws, Scott (Sue) Rudie and Keith (Letha) Rudie; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides his father, Spencer, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Delores and Don Rudie, and a nephew, Chad Johnson.
Funeral services for Randy will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 13th & Lincoln Avenue. Pastor Alan Kretschmar will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing will be observed and masks will be required. Interment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family would like to thank Dr. Laura McGartland and the nurses and staff of St. Luke's Hospital, the ER department of Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, Progressive Health Care Center and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
