Penelope Fay LeMahieu, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Holy Family Medical Center in Manitowoc.
Born May 11, 1940 in Sheboygan, Penelope was a daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy Born Wolf. She attended area schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Harold L. LeMahieu on March 31, 1962 in Sheboygan. They were married for 50 years before Harold preceded her in death on August 27, 2012.
Penny worked for the family business, LeMahieu Plumbing and Heating for many years. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. She loved to walk her dogs, read a good book and have coffee with her sister.
She is survived by her children, Pamela LeMahieu, NC, and Steven (Vicky) LeMahieu, Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren, Josh and Adam LeMahieu, Sheboygan Falls, and Jeremy, Brad and Jesse; her sister, Yvonne Daehn, Sheboygan; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and Husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dawn, and her brothers-in-law, Clifford Daehn, Marvin, Lewis, Robert, Eugene, Willard and Andrew LeMahieu, and sisters-in-law, Nelda Pietenpol, Loretta Droppers, Lucille Pietenpol and Mildred Wagner.
Funeral services for Penny will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:30 until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial park.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Azura Memory Care, the emergency room staff of St. Nicholas Hospital and Holy Family Memorial Hospital for all of their loving care and support.
