Patricia Ann (Patty) Johnson

Our loving and caring mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Patricia Ann (Patty) Johnson, Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was born on March 20, 1939, daughter of Agnes Blazich and Gustav Dudarenke. In 1945, her mother married Arthur Zenk and Patty was later adopted by Artie. After graduating from Central High School in 1957, she attended Valparaiso University, graduating in 1962. She then taught school in Pine Township, IN and moved to California in 1963.

On March 28, 1964, she was united in marriage to William L. Johnson in Mountain View, CA. Together they had two daughters, Kimberly and Kristi, and their marriage ended in divorce in 1972.

Patty moved back to Sheboygan in 1973 and started her working career as an Executive Secretary at Heritage Insurance (now Acuity). She worked there until 1996.

On May 7, 1994, she married James A. Johnson at First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. They moved to Las Vegas in 1997 and both she and Jim worked for Canyon Creative & Design, a company owned by Jim’s daughter and son-in-law. She and Jim returned to Wisconsin in 2000, and they spent the next 14 years in Fond du Lac. Patty and Jim did quite a bit of traveling throughout the states but loved being in Wisconsin during the summer months - especially spending time on Round Lake, near Hayward, WI. Jim turned Patty into a great Packer fan, and she always looked forward to their trips to Lambeau Field to watch their beloved Packers. Jim passed on February 2, 2014.

Patty touched the lives of many. She was always there for her loved ones with open arms. She truly enjoyed watching her grandsons grow up and spent many moments of love and laughter with them and was always their “Ammie Patty.”

Patty is survived by her daughter Kristi (Dale) Rauwerdink of Elkhart Lake, her grandsons Nicolas Oeflein of Hong Kong, and Carter Oeflein of Santa Monica, CA, and stepdaughter Ann (Dale) Sprague of Las Vegas. She is also survived by her sister Suzanne (Suzie) Zenk, and brother Jeff (Joan) Zenk as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Agnes, her husband James, and daughter Kimberly.

Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the amazing staff at The Shores of Sheboygan and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their care, compassion, and kindness during Patty’s final chapter of her life. We love you all.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
