Oya N. Pfeiffer, 57, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday morning, June 11, 2017 at her home following some medical issues.
Born July 18, 1959 in Ankara, Turkey, Oya was a daughter of Avser Cil Gulersen and the late Mehmet Kadri Gulersen. She attended schools and graduated from high school in Weinsberg, Germany. In 1983, she was united in marriage to Donald G. Pfeiffer in Weinsberg, Germany.
Oya was a CNA at Pine Haven Christian Home for many years. Most recently, she worked at Sunny Ridge Nursing Health & Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and especially fry outs and good fish fries.
She is survived by her mother, Avser Gulersen, Weinsberg, Germany; her former husband, Donald Pfeiffer, Sheboygan; her children, Peri Gulersen, Sheboygan, Steffen (Lisa) Herdecker, Neckasulm, Germany, Heike Herdecker, Reutlinger, Germany, and Denise Pfeiffer, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Dylan Gulersen and Destiny Brooks, both of Sheboygan, and Elias and Nova Herdecker, both of Reutlinger, Germany; her brother, Tuncay (Nicole) Gulersen, Heildbronn, Germany; her brother-in-law, Raymond Williams, Buckley, WA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mehmet, and her sister, Hulya Williams.
Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Wildwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
