Nancy L. Allen

Nancy L. Allen, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday evening, April 20, 2025, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Born May 22, 1934, in Astoria, Queens, New York, Nancy was the daughter of the late Francis A. and Nancy V. Sargeant Allen. She attended Queens area schools and graduated from Bryant High School in Astoria Queens. She then gained her Bachelors degree from Wooster College and her degree in Nursing from Case Western Reserve, both in Ohio.  On December 5, 1959, she was united in marriage to Thomas E. McMullen. Nancy later received her Masters in Education at Columbia University in 1962.
In 1965 she accepted a position with Indiana University School of Nursing in Gary, Indiana. She volunteered on the Gary Parks Board and she was active in the League of Women of Voters.  Nancy retired in 1998 but stayed active with the Visiting Nurses Association.  She also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.  She was an active member of the Ogden Dunes Community Church in Ogden Dunes, Indiana.  Nancy was a survivor of Breast Cancer.  She had lived most of her retirement in Scottsdale, AZ.
She is survived by her three children, Brian McMullen, Scottsdale, AZ, Lorraine (John) Schoen, Louisville, KY, and Sean McMullen, Sheboygan; her grandchildren, Sean, Dillon, Elijah, Liam, Sara, Jack, Audrey, and Clare.  As well as her cousin, Leisa.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Lorraine M. Allen.
Nancy will be laid to rest with her family in Flushing Cemetery in Queens, NY at a later date.
