Myron L. "Mike" Naumann, 75, of Sheboygan, left his dear wife Elaine and his precious cat, Tangerine, on Friday morning, February 2, 2018 after a very long illness.
Born April 17, 1942 in Sheboygan, Myron, was a son of the late Lester and Gladys Todd Naumann. He attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1960. He then went on to graduate 17th in his class from U.W. Milwaukee. On December 15, 1973, he was united in marriage to Elaine Michaels at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
Mike received his bachelors degree in social work and received his teaching certificate and taught in the inner city of Milwaukee for many years. He lobbied in Madison for the betterment of teachers. He loved music, reading and taking rides in the country. They also enjoyed the many trips to Milwaukee. Mike volunteered for the Salvation Army for eight years and in the 60's worked several summers at Camp Evergreen. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine; his sister-in-law, Mildred (Tom) Grasse; two brothers-in-law, John (Diane) Michaels and Rodney (Nancy) Michaels; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is further survived by his good friends Bob Bellinder, Gregg Winkle, Herb Henning, Joe Vopal, Rev. Alan Kubow and many others.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his cousin, Roger Dittmann, and his brother-in-law, Lloyd Michaels, and a nephew, John Hoffmann.
Funeral services for Mike will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
The family would like the nurses and staff of Home Instead, Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center and Aurora at Home for all of their loving care and support.
