Michael G. Manos, 89, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday morning, July 8, 2014 at Avelon Square in Waukesha where he had been residing. Born October 23, 1924 in Sheboygan, Michael was a son of the late Michael and Cecilia Friedel Manos. On October 25, 1958, he was united in marriage to Maria Stubler at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. They were married for 49 years before Maria preceded him in death on January 30, 2008. Michael worked for Plastics Engineering for 23 years. He then worked for the Sheboygan Area School District as a custodian for 14 years. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his son, Roland (Marilyn) Manos, Pewaukee, WI; two grandchildren, Adam Manos, Madison, and Rachel (Joseph) Leonard, Pewaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 8th Street & Huron Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the kind and caring staff at Avalon Square. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Michael's arrangements.
