Michael D. Mitchell

August 1, 1950 — April 19, 2017

Michael D. Mitchell, 66, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with his brother Curt and Sue Rae by his side.

Born August 1, 1950 in Clintonville, WI, Michael was a son of the late Richard and Virginia Malueg Mitchell. He attended schools in Random Lake. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972 in Vietnam.

Michael worked in construction for many years in the Sheboygan area. He enjoyed the many friendships he made at Road America over the years. He loved spending time up north, especially fishing and bon fires with Curt and his friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Sandra (Frank) Cerutti, Sturtevant, WI, Robin (Tom) Slamka, Waterford, WI, Larry (Mary) Timmel, Sheboygan, Barbara Timmel, Sheboygan, and Curt (Sue Rae Stevenson) Timmel, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Woolwine.

Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm Friday June 9, 2017 at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St., Union Grove.

The family would like the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.

The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Michael's arrangements.
