Mi Vang Lee

June 5, 1939 — March 15, 2022

Mi Vang Lee, beloved mom, grandma, and friend passed away at age 82 on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at St. Nicholas Hospital surrounded by her loving family in Sheboygan.
Born June 5, 1939 in Laos, Mi was a daughter of the late Xia Chue Vang and Mao Yang Vang. Mi and her family moved to the United States in 1980.
Mi was such a dear and sweet person who was so full of life. She had the most contagious laugh and most beautiful smile. Her heart was so genuine. She cherished her family and loved spending precious time with anyone who would come visit her. Her love language was hospitality. Anyone and everyone who entered her home felt warmth from her heart and enjoyed her very delicious meals. She loved reminiscing and sharing memories from Laos as well as her life here in America.
She became a Christian in December of 2009 after realizing her need for the Savior. She humbly accepted God’s free gift of salvation and now is rejoicing with her Heavenly Father. Her love for the Lord and His Word was undeniable. She prayed often and loved having others join her in prayer.
She loved collecting many knick-knacks and stuffed animals. They gave her so much joy as she meticulously staged them around her beautiful home. She enjoyed gazing at them on a daily basis and continued to add more to her prized collection each year. She enjoyed watching many music and dance shows as well as Disney movies. She often recorded them on her VCR in order to watch them again. She had a love for beautiful flower décor and lovely floral outfits.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lex Lee and daughter, May Mo Lee. She is survived by her children, Xay Soua ( May Vue) Lee, Sheboygan, Nao Long (See) Lee, West Fork, May Houa (Va Neng) Moua, Mai Ker Yang, all of Sheboygan, May Ia (Phorn) Thao, Oshkosh, Brittany (Charles) Chang, Sheboygan, May Choua Lee, Milwaukee, May Tru (Nathan) Rettinger, Sheboygan; 68 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
There will be private services for the family at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service and Lutheran Cemetery.
