Matthew W. Basler, 30, of Sheboygan, passed away early Saturday evening, August 6, 2016 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Born November 30, 1985 in Sheboygan, Matthew was a son of Deborah Lau Giese and Jeffrey Basler. He attended Sheboygan area schools and North High School.
Matt worked in the warehouse at Festival Foods. He enjoyed gaming and playing Frisbee golf.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Giese, Sheboygan; his father Jeffrey Basler, Sheboygan, his son, Matthew Basler, Sheboygan; his sister and brothers, Katlin Basler, Elkhart Lake, and Alec and Rhett Giese, both of Sheboygan; his grandfather, Bernard Basler, Plymouth; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joan and Adolph "Al" Lau; his paternal grandmother, Mary Basler; his aunt, Laurie Reyes; and his uncle, Brian Basler.
Memorial services for Matthew will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Pastor Jim Parker will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
