Mary Theresa Richardson

Mary Theresa Richardson, 83, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, WI. Mary was born November 4, 1940, in Sterling, IL. She was the daughter of John Henry and Margaret Elizabeth "Fahey" Melburg Green.
She attended catholic schools in Sterling, IL, and was a college graduate of Mary Crest College in Davenport, IA, where she received her bachelors degree in music in 1962. Her first teaching job was with the Camanche School District in Camanche, IA, where she was the band director for 4 years.
She was united in marriage to Joe R. Richardson on August 27, 1966, in Sterling, IL. After, settling into Sheboygan, where her husband, Joe, and her ultimately retired, she spent 22 years in the Sheboygan Area School District as a substitute teacher. Mary was a member of the Sheboygan County Quilters Guild.
Mary is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joe; sons, David C. Richardson, Dover, NH, and Jason T. (Tracey) Richardson, Sheboygan; daughter, Tracy A. (Robert) Schipper, Appleton, WI; granddaughters, Samantha J. (Lance) Burch, Green Bay, WI, Jennifer V. (fiance, Trace Anderson) Schipper, Neenah, WI, and Allison K. Schipper, Appleton, WI; and great-granddaughter, Peyton Mary Burch; along with cousins in the Sterling, IL area.
A memorial service for Mary will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Mary's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their kindness and compassion during Mary's end of life journey.
