Mary R. Paegelow Thill, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born November 9, 1945, in Sheboygan to the late Victor A. and Edna A. (Wieseckel) Paegelow. She graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the Class of 1963.  She then went on to attend UW Milwaukee and graduated from UW Sheboygan as Magna Cum Laude with her BS in environmental science.

Mary worked as an advocate for life care at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She was also a loyal, devoted and beloved member of the Sheboygan 12 STEP Recovery Community.

Mary loved walking and reading on the beach. Lake Michigan was the place she found her peace enjoying spending as much time there as possible.  She also enjoyed sailing, baking, cooking and gardening.  She took great pride in her raspberry bushes and tulips. Family was very important to her; she loved watching her grandchildren play and spending time with them creating many cherished and lasting memories.  Mary also enjoyed cuddling with her cat Karma.

Mary is survived by her daughters Christina LeMahieu of Miami Beach, FL, and Michele Schillingowski of Sheboygan, grandchildren; Alexus (Tanor) Martens and Myranda (Isaias Reyes) LeMahieu, great-grandchildren; Carter Martens, Nicholas, Anabell, Keagan, and Solar Reyes all of Sheboygan, also by her sister Beverly (Capt. Kirk) Stubbs of Sheboygan and brother James Paegelow of Nevada.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Julieanne Paegelow and Margaret "Peggy" Sommer.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 1:30 PM at St. Dominic Parish, 2233 N. 22nd St. Sheboygan, with Fr. Nick Baumgardner officiating.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 11:30 AM until the time of mass at the CHURCH.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Nicholas Hospital and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all their care, compassion and support. Also to dear friends Denise, Jarrett, Ron and Donna for all their help during her cancer journey.

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things

I cannot change...

Courage to change the

things I can and the wisdom

to know the difference.
