Mary Ann was employed for many years with Mental Health Services inc. where she was an AODA and Adult Care Worker. Helping people to live independent and healthy lives. This work extended into her private life where she actively worked to help others improve their own lives. Through her work with The 1907 Club and the Sheboygan area recovery community she helped others to see that while they did not have control over addiction, they do have control of what to do with the chemical.
This work spread out to her love of Sheboygans local food co-op. She volunteered in a number of capacities over the years with Goodside Grocery Co-op of Sheboygan offering a smile, a recipe and helping hand whenever she could.
So it stands to reason that she would also be involved in cancer survivors support groups, Triple Negative Cancer Sisters and Breast Cancer Champions, giving her support to others fighting and living with cancer.
Her message was one of personal responsibility.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhie (Sarah Guttenberg) Lorenz and family, her grandchildren, Stephen (Brittan Lesjack) Lorenz, Magic (Taylor) DeLong, Sabastian Lorenz and Rayne O’Muineachan. 4 Great Grandchildren, Jaden Lorenz, Alise Crotty, Babette Lorenz and Acacia Delong. her sister, Lilia Schneider and extended family, Dolores Lorenz and Family & Les and Kelly Williams.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia Gajdastik
SO many things in life that my mother loved in life. Good music, local coffee shops, the lake and a quiet night at home.
Please come share in some of this with me.
