Mary Margaret Anderson

Mary Margaret Anderson age 91 of Sheboygan WI, formerly of Dollar Bay, MI passed away Monday November 19, 2018 at Morningside Health Center in Sheboygan where she resided for the last 5 years.

Born March 29th 1927 in Dollar Bay, MI the daughter of the late John and Bernadine Spellich. She graduated from Dollar Bay High School in 1946 and St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Hancock, MI in 1949. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Dollar Bay.

On September 16, 1950 she married Kenneth L. Anderson in Milwaukee and they returned to Dollar Bay in 1954. She was an active member of the Runeberg Lodge No. 8 and St. Francis Church Altar Society. In 1966 they moved to Sheboygan WI where they resided for 23 years. Marge worked as an R.N. for 20 years at Morningside Nursing Home in Sheboygan where she also chose to spend the last years of her life. She loved caring for the elderly, enjoyed bowling and treasured her family and lifelong friends. Her most precious moments were spent with her husband, her loving children and precious grandchildren.

Marge is survived by her daughters; Susan Hinz and Barbara Cherwin both from Sheboygan, and her son Larry (Jessica) Anderson of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ben, Bethany, and Jon Eric, a brother Bob (Shirley) Spellich, two sisters; Lorraine Richards and Doreen Smith, many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, brothers John Spellich and Norbert Spellich, sister Francis Hunter, brothers in law Harold Hunter, Donald Richards, and Ray Smith, sister in law Dolly Spellich and her sons in law Bill Hinz and Gary Cherwin.

No funeral services will be held in Sheboygan at this time. A celebration of her life is being planned for June 2019 in Dollar Bay, MI following a graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton, MI.

Marge’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Morningside Health Center and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their loving care and support.

Marge wrote this earlier and she wanted it to be included in her obituary:

“The time has come for us to part. We've had many wonderful years together. There was love, laughter, and sometimes tears, but I never complained, I loved it all, and the Lord has made his call dear children, grandchildren, family and friends. I love you all! Till we meet again; remember me with a smile!!”
