Marlo M. Mahlik, 82, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday evening, February 7, 2019 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Born February 7, 1937 in Manitowoc, Marlo was a daughter of the late Theodore and Amanda Olp Weina. She attended Manitowoc area schools and Lincoln High School. On June 22, 1960, she was united in marriage to Melvin J. Mahlik in Menominee, MI. They were married for 35 years before Melvin preceded her in death on July 10, 1995.
Marlo was a loving mother who stayed home to take care of her family who meant the world to her.
She is survived by her children, Priccine McEwen, Whitelaw, Joseph Mahlik, Two Rivers, David (Denise Brendel) Mahlik, Sheboygan, Judith (Bud Baxter) Blattler, Rhinelander, Linda(Robert) Wurtinger, Manitowoc, Janet (Jim) Nugent, St Louis, MO, Mary Long, Jacksonville NC, Christina (Carl) Winnekins, Green Bay; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Melvin, she was preceded in death by her sons, James and Daniel Mahlik, her brother Ross Weina, and her dear friend Shirley Long.
Funeral services for Marlo will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Bonnie Jacque will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in St. Johannas Cemetery in Cleveland.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
