Marlene Ann Wieting

Marlene Ann Wieting, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday morning, February 16, 2022 at St. Nicholas Hospital.
Born August 4, 1943 in Sheboygan, Marlene was a daughter of the late John and Marie Schmitz Wilcox. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High in 1962. On July 8, 1996, she was united in marriage to James E. Wieting in Sheboygan. Jim preceded her in death on April 25, 2001.
Marlene was employed by the Mayline Co. for 23 years before her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed doing cross word puzzles, playing games on her iPad and spending time outdoors, especially in the summer. She was also an avid movie buff. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Shermeister, Sheboygan; her sister, Joan Bogenschuetz, Sheboygan Falls, her brothers, Wayne Wilcox, Kohler, and Terry Wilcox, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and her husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by her son Mark Shermeister and her sisters, Linda Nack, Diane Trimberger, Jane Taubenheim, and Mary Fredericks.
According to her wishes, there will be no services or visitation.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Nicholas Hospital and Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Marlene's arrangements.
