Marlene Ann Golembeski

Marlene Ann Golembeski, 73 of Sheboygan passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc with her loving family by her side. She was born December 20, 1943 in Montreal, WI to Leopold and Leocadia (Gulan) Sabec. She graduated from Hurley High School in 1961. On June 25, 1966 she married Ted Golembeski.

Marlene worked for many years at Tecumseh in Sheboygan Falls and later as a caregiver at Harmony of Sheboygan. She enjoyed cooking, reading, going to the casino, crafting, watching Court TV, game shows and sports. She participated in the Relay for Life walks with her co-workers, enjoyed helping others and volunteered at the Gathering Place. Marlene touched many lives with her humor and kind spirit.

Marlene is survived by her children, Chris (Kelli) Golembeski , Oshkosh, Michele (Kevin) Hemb, Sheboygan and Todd (Amber) Golembeski of Sheboygan, her grandchildren, Megan Hemb and Aric Hemb both of Sheboygan, one brother, Leo Sabec, Jr. and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Chachi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Leone, Cecile, and Lorraine,and four brothers, Marion, Clarence, Aloysius and Donald.

A memorial gathering celebrating Marlene's life will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave., Sheboygan.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.

The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Marlene's arrangements.
