Mark R. Tellen

Mark R. Tellen, 75, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 at his home.
Born November 17, 1947 in Sheboygan, Mark was a son of the late James and Josephine Oehler Tellen. He attended Holy Name School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1966. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin, Sheboygan Campus and Lakeland College. He served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Corporal. On November 9, 1968, he was united in marriage to Rosemary H. Hutchinson at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. They were married for 47 years before Rosemary preceded him in death on July 14, 2016.
Mark owned his own real estate appraising service for many years before his retirement. He previously worked at the Kohler Company. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He also volunteered as the stage manager for the Sheboygan Community Players for many years.
He is survived by his three children, Rebecca (John) Rupnick of Elkhart Lake, John (Michele) Tellen of Manitowoc, and James (Sonja) Tellen, Oahu, HI; an adopted daughter, Carol (Nicholas) Karvelas, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren William and Henry Rupnick, Alexandria, Josephine, Adrianna and Jackoby Tellen and Jack Carlson; his sister, Mary (Jerome) McMullen, Plymouth; three brothers-in-law, Gordon (Gloria) Hutchison, Cleveland, Russell (Jean) Hutchison, Wauwatosa and Richard (Kathleen) Hutchison, Siren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and his wife, Rosemary, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Tellen.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Avenue, Sheboygan. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Mark's arrangements.
