Mark P. Dotz, 59, of Sheboygan, WI passed away the afternoon of April 16, 2014, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice from Lung Cancer. Born June 18, 1954 in Sheboygan, Mark was a son of the late Waldemar and Beatrice (Dietz) Dotz. He attended area schools such as St. Paul Lutheran and North High School. On March 15, 1997, he was united in marriage to Rachael M. Miesner in Sheboygan. Mark was a screen print operator at Franzen Graphics for six years. For ten years, he was supervisor thorough NBM Building Maintenance for a crew out at Lakeshore Technical College. Previously, he worked, for over twenty years, as a journeyman printer at Universal Lithographers Inc. He enjoyed listening to music, especially artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dropkick Murphys, Leonard Skynard, and Ozzy Osbourne. During his life, he enjoyed playing the bass, drums, and guitar, which he learned while working at his grandparent's music store-Dietz's Music. During his younger years, he was a member the well-known local band known as Silver Chalice. Along with his passion for music, he was an avid Packer fan who loved grilling out for family and friends. For many years, he owned and bred his beloved German Shepherds. He was also a Tiger Scout Den master to his son. Memories of taking his son to WWF (WWE) matches is something his son Mark will always cherish. He is survived by his wife, Rachael; his children, Mark Villarreal and Sara Dotz, both of Sheboygan; his step-children, Jason Deehr, Manhattan, KS, Sarah Deehr, Wauwatosa and Samantha Gaurkee, Sheboygan; five granddaughters, Marissa Janquart, Sheboygan, Phoenix Loewen, Sheboygan, Iman and Maria Yassin, Wauwatosa, and Athena Slater, Sheboygan; two brothers, Steve Dotz, LaCrosse, and Michael Dotz, Saline, MI; and his sister Kristine Lamb, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Waldemar and Beatrice (Dietz) Dotz. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. Pastor Alan Kretschmar will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
