Marjorie A. Noel, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, July 17, 2016 at Golden Living Center.
Born December 17, 1925 in Sheboygan, Marjorie was a daughter of the late Fred and Norma Mundt Holling. She attended area schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1944. On May 15, 1948, she was united in marriage to Frederick Knocke at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1969. She married Charles Noel on August 30, 1986 at the Evangelical Free Church. They were married for 12 years before Charles preceded her in death on March 25, 1999.
Marjorie worked in the accounts payable department of the H.C. Prange Company for many years, retiring in 1988. She loved bowling and enjoyed playing on many leagues.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Knocke, Sheboygan; her brother-in-law, Roger Fredricks, Sheboygan; her step children, Jean (Monroe) Bechle, Palmetto, FL, Dianne (Merwyn) Tetzlaff, Sheboygan, Violet (Ronald) Zillmann, Palmetto, FL, David Noel, Sheboygan, Richard Noel, Sheboygan, Valerie (Donald) Juergens, Sheboygan, Benjamin (Terri) Noel, Cleveland, and Sharon (Allan) Sabel, Sheboygan; 29 step grandchildren, numerous step great and great great grandchildren; two step daughters-in-law, Sharon Noel, Sheboygan Falls and Linda Noel, Manitowoc; special friends, Charles Carriveau and Ann Scherer, both of Sheboygan; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides her parents and husbands, Frederick and Charles, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William (Gert) Holling and Conrad (Anna) Holling, her sister, Carol Fredricks; and two step sons, Jerry and Duane Noel.
Funeral services for Marjorie will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. David Van Dixhorn will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established in her name.
