Marion I. Prinz, 93, formerly of 1910 N. 13th Street, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2013 at Meadow Wood Assisted Living in Seymour, WI where she had been residing. Born December 13, 1920 in Whitewater, WI, Marion was a daughter of the late William and Lillian Schultz Underhill. On July 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Anton Prinz at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. They were married for 49 years before Anton preceded her in death on November 29, 1997. Marion was a telephone operator for many years and also worked as a clerk and switchboard operator at J.C. Penny's. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, a member of the Mother's Club, the Altar Guild and regularly attended bible study. She also volunteered in the Sunday School and the St. Paul's Elementary School Partners in Reading Program. Marion enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and crafting. She is survived by her three daughters, Daria (John) Heyn, Seymour, WI, Kathleen (Paul) Fluegge, Fort Wayne, IN, and Laurie (Roger) Bigger, Norwalk, CT; three grandchildren, Perry (Jay) Kelly, Leesburg, GA, Cole Heyn, Green Bay, and Brigham Heyn, Seymour; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Marion will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place in Garden Terrace Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Paul's Elementary School Partners in Reading Program. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Marion's arrangements.
