Marienne Knauf Kalk

Marienne Knauf Kalk, 96, died early Monday morning, April 7, 2014 at her home in Sheboygan. Marienne was born May 17, 1917 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Dr. Arthur and Gertrude Fiebing Knauf. On April 23, 1941, Marienne married John C. Kalk of Sheboygan at Grace Episcopal Church in Sheboygan. They resided in Kohler from 1943 until moving to Sheboygan in 2007. Marienne graduated from St. Clements' Grade School and Sheboygan High School. She received a B.A. in Business Administration from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1939. She was a member of the American Association of University Women and PEO as well as Grace Episcopal Church. Survivors include two sons, John M. (Ruth) of Danville, Kentucky, Patrick J. of Washington, D.C., and other relatives and friends. Marienne was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, and her sister, Marguerite Knauf Gibson. A Requiem Mass for Marienne will be scheduled at a later date. The family suggests that memorial gifts may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 1011 North 7th St., Sheboygan, WI 53081, or to Sheboygan Senior Community, 930 North 6th St., Sheboygan, WI 53081. The Olson Funeral Home has been entrusted with Marienne's arrangements.
