Lucille R. Herr, 90, of Sheboygan passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 25, 2014 at St. Nicholas Hospital with her family by her side. Born September 19, 1923 in Sheboygan, Lucille was a daughter of the late Sebastian and Nellie Batt Leibham. She attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1941. On November 27, 1954, she was united in marriage to Raymond H. Herr at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. They were married for 49 years before Raymond preceded her in death on December 2, 2003. Lucille worked as a clerk for many years at the H.C. Prange and Prange Way Companies. She previously worked for the Department of Public Welfare and at the Kohler Company during the war. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts, bowling, playing bingo and solving word search puzzles. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Joyce) Herr, Sheboygan, and Mark (Sherryl) Herr, Elkhart Lake; two grandsons, Ryan Herr, Baileys Harbor, and Travis Herr, Sheboygan; her brother, James (Judy) Leibham, Sheboygan; her sister, Beatrice Schwalbe, Sheboygan; two sisters-in-law, Madeline Herr, Sheboygan, and Vivian Keippel, Cascade; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is further survived by her special friend and caring neighbor, Melvin Stugart. Besides her parents and husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by a son, William Herr, a sister, Gertrude (Emil) Chuck, her brother, Norman (Vernetta) Leibham, and a brother-in-law, Milton Schwalbe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele Avenue. The Rev. Philip Reifenberg will celebrate the Mass. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Lucille's arrangements.
