As a little girl, she performed in Vaudeville alongside her aunt and uncle. She grew up working in the tobacco fields, training racehorses, delivering mail on horseback. Loy cared for Polio victims at Rocky Knoll, then after that, she became a Psychiatric Technician at Memorial (Aurora) Hospital. She loved animals, gardening, antiquing, beach-combing, as well as walking in the woods. She loved Jesus and she loved you.
