Louis Stanley, Age 90, died peacefully on July 14, 2014 surrounded by family at his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Louis was born in 1923 in Akron, Ohio. He grew up during the great depression and served in the US Army during World War II seeing combat as a reconnaissance sergeant in Europe. In 1953 Louis met and married Lillian Grande. The couple celebrated their 61st anniversary on July 4 of this year. Louis worked for Delco Electronics in Milwaukee and later owned a realty company and developed housing in the Milwaukee area. Louis is survived by his wife Lillian, son Walton Stanley, daughter-in-law Leslie Rapp, granddaughter Glenn Stanley, and grandson Colin Stanley. Services will be held on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing at 11:00 am at Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, (920) 452-1481. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the DAV (dav.org).
