Lorraine M. Babcock

November 3, 1928 — April 14, 2013

Lorraine M. Babcock, 84, of Sheboygan, died peacefully on April 14, 2013 at Harmony Living Center. Lorraine was born on November 3, 1928, in Spencer, WI, the daughter of the late John and Elsie Reckner Weis. On September 9, 1950, she married Howard Babcock of Mosinee, WI. Howard and Lorraine moved to Sheboygan in 1949. Lorraine worked at Handknit in the 1960's and retired from General Machinery in 2000. Lorraine enjoyed baking, picnics, gardening, spending time with family and friends, sunshine, country music. She attended mass at Holy Name and St. Dominic's Churches. Lorraine is survived by her husband Howard; two daughters, Connie (Dale) Froh, Plymouth and Debra (James) McWilliams, Sheboygan; four grandchildren,; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Weis and Pat Weis both of Marshfield; one sister, Shirlee Moen of Marshfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Isabel Rotar. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2012, at the Chapel of Eternal Light of Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave. Relatives and friends are welcome at the chapel on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Entombment will be in Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Tawnya and the staff of Hospice Advantage for the special care given to Lorraine and her family and the Harmony Living Center staff for their excellent compassionate care.
