Loretta A. "Lory" Witthuhn, 76, of Sheboygan passed away Tuesday morning, November 4, 2014 at the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice. Born February 8, 1938 in the Town of Forest in Fond du Lac county, Loretta was a daughter of the late George and Hilda Grossheim Pfeifer. She graduated from Goodridge High School in Fond du Lac. On May 26, 1956 she married Jerome Albert Witthuhn at the Glenbeulah Methodist Church. They were married for 47 years before Jerome passed away on December 9, 2003. She worked as a bookkeeper for the First National Bank in Fond du Lac. She also worked for the Levitan Fruit Company, Heritage Nursing Home, and Morningside Terrace, all in Sheboygan. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church where she played in the bell choir. She and Jerome danced with the Fox Valley Polka Review and the Singles Connection. She liked to sew, collect coins, and go for walks. Lory is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Timothy) Davis of Sheboygan; her son-in-law, Scott Thomas; grandchildren, Samantha (David) George, West Allis, Allison Davis, Crystal (Mitchell) Hess, Chris Thomas, and Josh Thomas, all of Sheboygan; great grandchildren Ryland Hess of Sheboygan and Henry George of West Allis; sisters, Ruth (Lou) Boeldt, Plymouth, Dolores (David) Buskee, Nevada, and Bernice Kohlman, Green Bay; and her sister-in-law Marion (Ernie) Maas, Plymouth. In addition to her husband Jerome, she was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Thomas, her sister Mildred Buell, her brother Harold Pfeifer, and a brother-in-law Norman Buell. Funeral services for Lorretta will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13th & Lincoln Avenue. Pastor Alan Kretschmar will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Lory's arrangements.
